Recurring Projects - Termination & Refund

1) The termination fee and the process for reasons like deliverables not as per client expectation, Change in Scope of Work by the client or Client Behaviour issue would be processed as follows:

  • If the project termination is initiated during the 1st month, then a termination fee of 10% of one month billing cycle would be levied on the client. Any extra amount other than 10% of the project value would be refunded to the client.
  • If the project termination is initiated after the 1st month, then the client has to forgo the entire payment for that billing cycle (i.e, one month). Any extra amount other than that would be refunded to the client.
  • Any termination fee collected after 1st month would be shared equally between Morff and the freelancer.


2) The termination fee and the process for reasons like Freelancer not available for more than four working days and Freelancer Behaviour issue would be processed as follows:

  • 100% refund of the latest payment collected would be processed to the client.
  • If no proper reason is furnished by the freelancer and the issue is first time then the freelancer would not be eligible to receive projects for the next three months else the freelancer would be banned from availing any services provided by Morff.


3) The termination fee and the process for reasons like client is not available for more than four working days or client wants to terminate the project for any other reason that is listed in the agreement, then the termination would be processed as follows:

  • The client has to pay one month project value as termination fee.
  • Any termination fee collected after 1st month would be shared equally between Morff and the freelancer.


4) Morff will also initiate termination if the project kick-off does not happen within 15 days after signing. The termination fee would be 10% of the project value and the project would be closed after informing the freelancer.
